James M. Sullivan
Prior to joining MBCP, Mr. Sullivan served as a Managing Director at Seneca Financial Group from 2001 to 2005. At Seneca Financial, he led and was involved in numerous assignments involving telecommunications, healthcare, REITs, airlines, energy, retailing, manufacturing, restaurant services and publishing. Mr. Sullivan's work involved representing the interests of debtors, creditors, and other major constituencies including labor and working on behalf of the US Trustee's office. Additionally, he served in various crisis management situations including being appointed Chief Restructuring Officer of General Media, Inc.
Prior to joining Seneca he was a Senior Vice President at S.N. Phelps & Co., a merchant bank and holding company specializing in distressed and restructuring situations of both publicly traded and private companies. In his capacity, he was responsible for sourcing, credit analysis, structuring and implementing the turnaround for a variety of companies across a broad industry base. In addition, Mr. Sullivan managed and traded the firm's equity and high yield fixed income portfolio. Mr. Sullivan joined S.N. Phelps from Nantucket Holding Company, where he provided strategic planning and portfolio management services for companies in oil distribution, beverage and snack food distribution, central station security systems monitoring, retail, and real estate brokerage and development.
Mr. Sullivan did his undergraduate work toward his B.A. in Economics from the University of Vermont as well as earning other professional designations from New York University's Real Estate Institute. |
